Expertise
Hydrological research
including proglacial dynamics, freshwater ecosystem characteristics and
fluvial morphology
Research Interests
Main focus is given on
dynamics of proglacial fluvial systems, its hydrological and thermal
regime together with sediment transport through the systems. Apart
that I am interested also in studying lake ecosystems. As a
member of several Arctic and Antarctic expeditions I also cooperate on
studies dealing with paleoenvironmental reconstructions and atmospheric
conditions affecting recent biological freshwater communities. I am
based at the Faculty of Science, University of South
Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice and Faculty of Science, Masaryk University
in Brno.
