HYDROLOGY

Main emphasis is put on hydrological research itself. We study hydrological regime and response of hydrological systems to atmospheric conditions and glacier dynamics. Hydrological monitoring was set up in 5 water basins in central Svalbard, some short term studies has been carried out in Antarctica as well - Vega island and James Ross island.
