POLAR HYDROLOGY FIELD COURSE 2016
Polar Hydrology Field Course is starting in August 2016 and will take place in the region of Petuniabukta and Pyramiden - in central Svalbard. The course is a common project between University of South Bohemia and University Centre in Svalbard. Both partners have longlasting experience in organising such courses. Students will try all basic field techniques used in the extreme polar environment but will be also made familiar with safety rules concerning the field work. After the field work there is a Polar Ecology Conference organised in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, where some of the participants will present their work.
The course and conference is supported by Norway Grants via the NF-CZ07-ICP-4-292-2015 project "Polar Hydrology Field Course" and the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia.
